Television distributors are now growing more keen to the idea of opening up the TV vaults and streaming
old TV series online. With the presence of sites such as Hulu, Joost and Veoh the audience and ad dollars to be made are becoming much more formidable and opening the eyes of certain TV executives. “We have all this library content, and we’ve been surprised at how much interest there is in it,” Jeff Zucker, the CEO of NBC Universal, said recently. “Frankly, if there is one person interested it — and there are streaming costs so you have to make sure you’re covering that — we’ve found it’s a new opportunity for our content.”

blinkx launching broadband TV platform…

CBS News is reporting that Blinkx is branching farther out in to distribution by launching its own version – hybrid P2P player Blinkx Broadband TV (BBTV). This application with be joining the likes of other players like Joost, Babelgum, Iplayer, Livestation and Vue. Here is all the info you need on this new product.
